New Year's Eve

Many people think about the New Year as a fresh start. People make promises to themselves at the beginning of a New Year because most people want better lives. Some promises are to start good, new habits. Some promises are to stop bad, old habits.

These are good goals, but most times, our promises and plans end too soon. We did not change ourselves. We might become sad and blame ourselves. We are disappointed. Maybe some of us realize we can never change.
Why not try a new and different way to start this New Year?

This year, we should not try and change ourselves.

This year, we should allow God to make changes in our lives.

Romans 12:1: So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. The Message

Romans 12: 1 Dear friends, God is good. So I beg you to offer your bodies to him as a living sacrifice, pure and pleasing. That's the most sensible way to serve God. Contemporary English Version

This is the same Bible verse. It is written in different words so we can clearly understand God's plan. Start today. Offer your heart and life to God. Every part of our life is very important to Him. He wants our lives to show love and respect for Him. He wants us to be pure and clean in our thoughts and hearts. Our normal lives can bring Him honor. We can do this ONLY if we ask for His help. He will help us because He loves us.

This is the way to have Happy New Year all year long.
